HAYAL – FLAVOURS OF ISTANBUL SET TO OPEN DOORS AT THE ST. REGIS DOWNTOWN DUBAI

 


 DUBAI, UAE – October 2022 – Dubai’s newest fine-dining hotspot, Hayal – Flavours of Istanbul, is set to swing their doors open this month in The St. Regis Downtown Dubai. A partnership between Marriott International and Infini Concepts, who have brought to life top dining destinations such as TABŪ. Opening officially on 25th October, the new venue promises five-star experiences from start to finish with masterfully prepared modern Turkish dishes, impeccable presentation, and vivacious entertainment.

Located on the Mezzanine floor of The St. Regis Downtown Dubai, the new venue will replace the once frequented Bleu Blanc. The remarkable design is inspired by the eclectic and effervescent vibes of Istanbul city combining old Turkish elements and colours with modern features and surprises. Upon entry, guests will immediately notice the distinct art donning the walls, highlighting vivid Turkish cultural components, commissioned by a talented local artist. Vintage and exclusive pieces are sure to intrigue guests as they soak in Hayal’s marvelous interiors. With both Marriott International and Infini Concepts leading the project, Hayal will offer a uniquely creative culinary experience, surrounded by lush, vibrant, and artistic décor, with panoramic views of the breath-taking Downtown Dubai skyline, towering over glimmering waters of the Dubai Water Canal.

 

The menu, created by Infini’s Head of Culinary Roberto Segura and his team, will blow away even the most inflexible of diners. The energetic new space will bring Turkey’s most loved culinary feats – succulent meats, strong coffees, and rich desserts – but with extravagance and luxurious flair. Alongside a dedicated breakfast menu (served on Saturdays from 8am to 11am, and till 4pm on Sundays), Hayal’s dinner spread will take guests through a multi-sensorial journey through Istanbul city, from starters and small plates such as; Wagyu Beef Tartar, Stuffed Mussels, Stuffed Grape Leaves with Raspberies, Pickled Tuna with Grape Leaves Dressing, Stracciatella Sourdough Pide, and mains such as; Grilled Octopus, 50-hours Slow-Braised Short Rib, Adana Kebab, Whole Seabass with Muhammara, Stuffed Squid with Tiger Prawns, and Mix Meat Platter. End the experience with an array of decadent Turkish delights such as; Baklava, Anatolian Rice Pudding with Raspberry Ice Cream, two types of Künefe, and a signature Hayal Dessert Platter featuring the chef’s picks. With opulence embedded in each facet of Hayal, guests can expect to be wowed by their over-the-top offerings and presentation of each dish and beverage.

Following their official launch, Hayal will also be unveiling their exquisite brunch menu on 5th November, to be served as part of The St. Regis Downtown brunch. Featuring a spread of luscious Turkish fare, the brunch menu, served every Saturday from 12:30 till 4pm, will include freshly baked goods from their bakery such as; Turkish bagels with Kashkaval Cheese and Muhammara, Filo Pastry with Spinach, and Avocado Toast on Pita Bread with Tulum Cheese and Olives. Special egg-focused dishes include; Menemen (egg with pan-fried tomato, onion, and green peppers), Cilbir (poached eggs, yogurt, garlic, chili peppers), and Shakshuka with Eggplant, Capsicum, Tomato and Onion. Guests can also enjoy breakfast and specialty platters including; Mix Cheese with six kinds of cheese, olives, pickles, jams and dried fruits, and Mix Bakery with a selection of breads and pastries with burnt leeks butter, muhammara and honey butter.

The name Hayal comes from the Turkish word for “daydream” – an apt title for a venue that is expected to bring artistic finesse, vibrancy, and brilliance to the heart of Dubai. Guests will feel as if they have landed in Istanbul, greeted by a lively open kitchen concept, with modern yet traditional indoor and outdoor seating, and a warm, social atmosphere accentuated by dynamic entertainment and service.
