– Yogis gathered at Expo 2020 Dubai on Tuesday evening for a restorative moonlit hatha yoga class at the Expo Sports Arena, taught by Dylan Werner.
Nomadic yogi Werner travels the world teaching yoga, equipped with just 23kg of luggage, including his hand pan drum and camera.
The restful and rejuvenating class focused on movement connected with ‘prana’, which means ‘life force’ or ‘breath’ in Sanskrit. Starting with moon salutations, the class moved into a healing yin yoga session, making it a perfect relaxing evening practice.
Pranayama is the ancient yogic technique of improving physical and mental well-being through breathing excercises. Pranayama can contribute to boosting immunity, reducing blood pressure, regulating the endocrine system, improving sleep and easing stress, anxiety and depression.
