The Seychelles Pavilion hosted enchanting performance La Salle de Verte on Wednesday evening (16 March), bringing together various styles of traditional arts on the Jubilee Stage at Expo 2020 Dubai.
The event featured a vibrant Moutya dance – an African dance recently added to UNESCO’s List of Intangible World Heritage – and a fashion show, as part of the Seychelles Fashion Week, which was launched at Expo 2020 Dubai for the first time and will be held in Dubai on an annual basis.
Seychelles designer Juliette Zelime’s collections of tropical outfits and traditional straw handbags kicked off the show, which also featured pieces from a number of other designers from the island nation, including Nigel Henri and Atalia Barbe, as well as several international collaborations.
